Presley Walls was the son of James Aaron and Levina "Vine" (England) Walls. Presley was born in 1889 in Missouri, probably near Ash Grove. The 1900 US Census reports that at that time, "Press" was living with his parents and attending school. His date of death is unknown (Russel 2012).
Grave Marker: The grave marker for Presley Walls is a flat concrete monument about 18 x 10 x 2 inches in size. "PRESS" is inscribed on the upward facing side of the marker. This marker is almost certainly homemade, given the widespread domestic use of cement technology by ca. 1900 and the non-uniform nature of the inscribed letters. The uniform size and composition of the concrete markers for Charles, Joe, Bob, Baby, and Presley Walls may indicate that they were made and set at the same time, after all five of these individuals had died.
